With 300 residential and commercial structures threatened, a structure-protection team stayed on scene along the fire’s eastern edge in Entiat River Valley. No structures have been damaged or destroyed in this fire. “Our crews accomplished a lot Monday and our priority is to hold and secure these areas and keep the fire away from Ardenvoir,” says Deputy Incident Commander Carlton Joseph. Kelly Mountain Fire UPDATE August 14, 2018 0800 AM Northeast Washington Interagency IMT Type 3, Team #1 Ed Lewis Incident Commander For Immediate Release Republic, WA – Crews will continue to establish preliminary lines around the fire, focusing on the southeast and southwest flanks of the fire. Dozers and special logging equipment (feller bunchers) will be used to establish preliminary lines as well as remove snags and blown down trees (wind throw).
