All trails and camps entering the park complex at Hannegan Pass Trailhead including; entire Little Beaver Trail, Big Beaver Trail beyond Pumpkin Mountain and Big Beaver camps, Brush Creek, Chilliwack, and Copper Loop trails. Camp closures include all camps between Little Beaver and Boundary camps and all camps between 39 Mile and Beaver Pass camps. All cross-country zones access from closed trails is prohibited There are also trail and camp closures in the Lightning Creek area of Ross Lake. Lightning Creek Trail between Lightning Creek and Nightmare camps is closed. Camp closures include Deer Lick and Nightmare

News Release September 7, 2022 Davenport, WA - The Seven Bays Fire is located approximately 15 miles northwest of Davenport, WA. This fire started on Sunday, September 4th and has burned approximately 1,000 acres of rangeland, stubble and scattered forest lands. The fire is 15% contained. Evacuations: No Evacuation levels. Road Closure: No Road Closures. Tuesday, Fire fighters completed containment line around the fire and began mopping up the perimeter of the fire. Current fire containment is at 15%. Small unburn islands of fuel within the fire perimeter continue to burn. Fire fighters conducted hazard tree falling along Miles-Creston road which caused temporary closure of the road. Suiattle River Fire Closure Order, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie NF, August 31 (Suiattle River Fire Wildfire)
Due to potential fire spread, the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest issued an emergency closure order for the Suiattle River Fire on August 31. The fires are in remote areas of the Stephen Mather Wilderness. Three fires (North Fork, Little Chill, and Copper Lake) are in proximity to the Copper Loop Trail system and one (Brush Creek Fire) is near the Brush Creek Trail in the Whatcom Pass area. The Chilliwack Complex is estimated at 3,700 acres. Additional trail and camp closures due to fire activity include the portion of Little Beaver Trail between Stillwell and Perry Creek camps, the portion of Big Beaver Trail between Stillwell and Luna camps, and Beaver Pass Camp. Plain, WA – Lightning started the White River and Irving Peak Fires on August 11. The fires are burning on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, northwest of Plain, WA. Suppression Strategy – Fire managers continue to implement a long-term strategy including the use of primary and contingency perimeter lines for containment. Tactics include completion and reinforcement of fire lines using roads and hand line. Operations – Over the next two days, NW Team 8 will be transitioning both fires to a local type 3 team. The incoming team will shadow today with a plan to take command of the fire tomorrow at 7 a.m. Firefighters will actively manage both fires over the coming weeks with a long-term strategy in place. Smoke may be visible over the next several weeks as remaining interior fuels continue to smolder and burn out.
