Winter Weather Advisory issued March 1 at 2:45AM PST until March 2 at 10:00AM PST by NWS Medford OR
* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow. Additional snow
accumulations of 8 to 12 inches, with 1 to 2 feet above 2000
feet. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. For the Winter Weather
Advisory, snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches.

* WHERE...The Winter Storm Warning includes terrain above 1500
feet, and the Illinois Valley from Hayes Hill to the state line,
including Interstate 5 passes north of Grants Pass, highway
199, and the communities of Selma, Cave Junction, and Obrien.
The Winter Weather Advisory includes the Rogue River Valley
portion of the county, including Grants Pass, Wilderville, and
Merlin.
* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will lower to the valley
floors Friday night into Saturday morning.
