Air Quality Alert issued September 5 at 8:03PM PDT by NWS Portland OR

September 5, 2024 - 9:58pm
The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has continued an Air Quality Advisory, which is IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT FRIDAY. An Air Quality Advisory for ozone remains in effect. High levels of ozone in the lower atmosphere in the region combined with forecasted conditions will cause air quality to reach unhealthy levels at times through 8 PM PDT Friday. Smoke from regional wildfires is also negatively impacting air quality. Pollutants can cause burning eyes, runny nose, aggravate heart and lung diseases, and aggravate other serious health problems. Limit outdoor activities and keep children indoors if it is smoky. Please follow medical advice if you have a heart or lung condition. More information about air quality can be found at: www.oregon.gov/DEQ Air Quality Alert 2024-09-05T21:58:00-07:00 2024-09-05T20:03:00-07:00 2024-09-05T20:03:00-07:00 2024-09-06T13:30:00-07:00 Actual Alert Met Unknown Unknown Unknown Tualatin Valley; West Hills and Chehalem Mountains; Inner Portland Metro; East Portland Metro; Outer Southeast Portland Metro; West Central Willamette Valley; East Central Willamette Valley SAME 041067 SAME 041051 SAME 041005 SAME 041071 SAME 041053 SAME 041047 UGC ORZ109 UGC ORZ110 UGC ORZ111 UGC ORZ112 UGC ORZ113 UGC ORZ114 UGC ORZ115 AWIPSidentifier AQAPQR WMOidentifier AEUS76 KPQR 060458 NWSheadline AIR QUALITY ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT FRIDAY BLOCKCHANNEL EAS BLOCKCHANNEL NWEM BLOCKCHANNEL CMAS
