accumulations of 5 to 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40

* WHERE...Portions of eastern Curry County and Josephine County.
The first Winter Storm Warning includes the Illinois Valley and
Highway 199 from Hayes Hill Summit to the OR/CA state line and
the communities of Selma, Obrien and Cave Junction. The Winter
Weather Advisory includes portions of Interstate 5 north of
Grants Pass and Sexton Summit. The second Winter Storm Warning
includes areas above 3000 feet.
* WHEN...For the first Winter Storm Warning and the Advisory,
until 10 PM PST this evening. For the second Winter Storm
Warning, from 10 AM Monday to 4 PM PST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will see a sharp drop in
elevation from south to north right along the Interstate 5
passes north of Grants Pass Monday and Tuesday. Although Winter
Storm conditions are not forecast at Sexton Summit at this
time, there is a 20 percent chance that the pass will receive up
to 5 inches or more of snow through the day Monday.

* WHAT...Snow above 2000 feet. Additional snow accumulations of
1 to 6 inches.
* WHERE...Elevations above 2000 feet in Jackson County. This
includes Jacksonville Hill on highway 238. It also includes
portions of highways I-5, 140 and 62
* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow showers will persist through this
weekend with another low and frontal system hitting the area on
Monday and Tuesday. Some snow will accumulate down to 500 feet
through these events.
