Evacuation orders in Curry County were re-evaluated on September 13th, 2017. The following areas are under a Level 1 Evacuation: • Southern Curry County line at the sea front, north to the Pistol River area, including:  Carpenterville Road and all intersecting roads east and west;  Gardner Ridge Road from the intersection of North Bank to Palmer View Road;  North Bank Chetco Road to Loeb Park, and South Bank Chetco Road to the Salmon Run Golf Course The following areas are under a Level 2 Evacuation: • East above Peavine Road in the Winchuck Drainage • South Bank of the Chetco above Salmon Run Golf Course • North Bank of the Chetco above Loeb Park to include Wilderness Retreat • Gardner Ridge Road above Palmer Butte to include Cate and Hazel Camp Areas There are no Level 3 Evacuation orders currently in effect in Curry County. On Wednesday, the most significant fire activity in the Chetco Bar East Zone was in the north end of the fire perimeter. Smoldering, creeping, short uphill runs and single tree torching were observed near the horseshoe of the Illinois River. Fire crews and masticators are working on completing reopened Biscuit fireline to the east. The 784 Fire (Indigo Fire), on the West Fork of Indigo Creek was also active yesterday. This fire is approximately 182 acres. It was detected on Monday, September 11th and is located approximately 10 miles north of the Chetco Bar Fire. Helicopters dropped water through the day to reduce its spread. Hand crews, dozers and a masticator continue to prepare the 055 and 510 roads to create a fireline to its east side. Crews on the 784 Fire/Indigo Fire will spend the next two nights in a spike camp near their work area to reduce exposure from driving long distances to the main fire camp. Smoke: Winds have decreased overnight and areas of patchy smoke have developed. Areas Closest to the fire will continue to see pockets of smoke and haze throughout the period. The inversion should lift around 1200 and air quality should improve to good or moderate levels. Fire: The Jolly Mountain fire is currently burning north of Cle Elum, WA. The current fire size is 33,950 acres an increase of 1,441 acres. Active fire behavior with backing, group torching and spotting. Enumclaw Washington, September 14, 2017 - The Sawmill Creek Fire is currently 915 acres with 0% containment and has increased 64 acres over the last few days. On the North Zone of the Norse Peak Fire, firefighters continue their efforts to improve roads, remove fuel around the fire and build indirect line. Crews continue to work their way into the fire to build direct containment lines. Firefighters working in Division’s “G” and “E” near The Dalles, Crystal Mountain Communities and Alta Vista Resort area continue working on structure protection building control lines and adding sprinkler systems. Crews continue to reduce fuels around homes in preparation for structure defense. Winds, which pushed the fire beyond Nick Eaton Ridge in the northeast corner yesterday, calmed overnight and are anticipated to remain light today. The fire still is expected to continue growing, mainly to the south and to a lesser extent the east, but at a slower rate. Air resources may also be used to help slow the fire’s spread. Line is in place along the I-84 corridor from Herman Creek east to Mitchell Point and if conditions permit, firefighters will conduct burn out operations to strengthen that line. Mop-up is almost complete along the I-84 corridor from Bridal Veil to Warrendale. Crews will now begin focusing their mop-up efforts east toward Cascade Locks. On the southwest and southeast perimeters, contingency line, which primarily follows powerline corridors and roads, is nearly complete. Evacuation levels were lowered today in Multnomah County and around Cascade Locks as officials determined it was safe for residents to return to their homes. However, continued fire movement east of Herman Creek caused the Hood River County Sheriff to increase evacuation levels in areas west of Hood River. A limited area was upgraded to Level 3 (“Go”) while another was put on a Level 2 (“Be Set”) notice. Este Martes, la actividad incendaria mas significativa, en el Incendio de Chetco Bar se dio sobre el perimetro Suroeste, se derramo agua y retardadores con el fin de detener un poco la expansion del Incendio en esta area.En el area del Incendio de Chetco East Zone, Incendio No. 784 (Indigo Fire), situado en West Fork (Oeste) del riachuelo Indigo (Indigo Creek), alcanzo un tamano de 134 acres. Partial Restriction of Cascade Lakes HighwayTraffic on a portion of the Cascade Lakes Highway near Elk Lake will be restricted to one lane with a pilot car starting on Friday, September 15, 2017.Lane restrictions are anticipated to be in effect through at least Sunday, September 17, 2017. Longer restrictions may be necessary. Firefighters assigned to the Horse Creek Complex fires, which include the Nash and Separation Fires on the Willamette National Forest, are working along the roadway to clear a 300-foot firebreak. Trees are being felled and decked in the area. Heavy equipment and trucks are parked along the highway. In addition, visibility may be limited due to smoke in the area. The public should expect sporadic travel delays, limited visibility due to smoke, and increased traffic from firefighting efforts along this portion of the Cascade Lakes Highway. Mount Rainier National Park News Release For Immediate Release Patti Wold, 360-569-6563 Sunrise and White River Areas Reopen: Evacuation Drops to Level 1 September 13, 2017—After being closed due to fire activity outside of the park the Sunrise and White River areas reopened this morning at 8:00 am. Facilities in the area, including the White River Campground and area trails, are now also open to normal use. The evacuation level for the White River and Sunrise area has dropped from a Level 2 to a Level 1, which means to "Be Alert." Fire danger still exists in the greater area and all personnel and visitors should monitor the situation. The park will provide updates in the event of a change in the evacuation status to a voluntary or mandatory evacuation. Included are some important safety tips for residents as they begin to move back into areas that had previously been under evacuation. HAZARDS ▪ Shallow root systems have burned and standing dead trees (snags) will fall easily, especially in high winds. ▪ Walking through blackened areas is not safe for anyone, including pets. White ash may indicate deep pockets of heat where roots and ground vegetation continues to burn below ground level. ▪ Fire equipment remains in the area. Use caution when driving and keep lights on at all times. ACTIVE FIRE ▪ The Jolly Mountain Fire continues to burn. Stay prepared to [re]evacuate if conditions change. You will be notified by law enforcement if this need arises. ▪ You will likely see flames in the interior of the fire, they will be more noticeable at night. ▪ Firefighters are continuing to locate and extinguish hot spots.

A public meeting has been scheduled for September 13, 2017 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Lowell Rural Fire District Fire Station located at 389 North Pioneer St., Lowell, OR 97452. This will be an opportunity for the public to hear the latest fire information and ask questions about the Jones Fire. The existing Jones Fire Base Camp, located in the Lowell Sate Park, will finish moving today. The new Fire Camp will be located at the Dexter State Recreation Site. Access and use of the popular South Bank Fishing Area will be closed. The closure point will be at the existing entrance to the Dexter State Recreation Site off of State Highway 58. We would like to remind the public to expect the addition fire traffic congestion in this area. Expanded area closure for the Desolation Fire (Desolation Fire Wildfire)

PRINEVILLE, Ore. – The Ochoco National Forest has expanded a temporary road, trail and area closure for the Desolation Fire to promote public health and safety while the fire is actively burning and firefighters are engaged in a suppression effort. The order temporarily prohibits the public from entering Mill Creek Wilderness and Forest Service land north of the wilderness, up to and including Forest Service Roads 27/2730/2745 to the north and northeast of the fire. See attached order and map for details. The Forest appreciates public tolerance during the suppression efforts and will reopen the area to the public as soon as it’s deemed safe to do so.
