Widespread breezy to windy conditions through the Cascade Gaps and the lower Columbia Gorge and persistent dry conditions have lead to elevated fire weather concerns. The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect through Monday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 690 Kittitas Valley and 691 Lower Columbia Basin of Washington. * TIMING...Through Monday evening. * WINDS...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 18 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly.
