winter weather to the region Sunday through Monday with the most
significant impacts Monday morning. The snowfall accumulation will
be unusually high east of the Cascades. Travel impacts are likely,
especially east of the Cascades and over Siskiyou Summit through
this event. Snow will continue to accumulate into Tuesday, although
the locations, intensity and elevations will change.
* WHAT...Heavy wet snow expected Above 2000 feet. Total snow
accumulations between 4 and 12 inches. 1 to 2 inches of snow is
possible between 1500 and 2000 feet. Highest totals are
anticipated in the southern part of the County, with lowest snow
levels during late Sunday night through Monday morning.
* WHERE...Elevations above 2000 feet Jackson County. This includes
portions of Highway 140, Highway 66, and Interstate 5.
* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 10 PM PST Monday.

...A WINTER STORM HITS SOUTHERN OREGON AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA...
.An atmospheric river and stationary front will bring impactful
winter weather to the region Sunday through Monday with the most
significant impacts Monday morning. The snowfall accumulation will
be unusually high east of the Cascades. Travel impacts are likely,
especially east of the Cascades and over Siskiyou Summit through
this event. Snow will continue to accumulate into Tuesday, although
the locations, intensity and elevations will change.
* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 8 to 20
inches. Highest snow accumulations anticipated in the southern
portions of Lake and Klamath Counties. 4 to 8 inches anticipated
in the northern sections of these counties.
* WHERE...Central and southern Lake and Klamath Counties. This
includes Highway 97, Highway 140, Highway 31, and Highway 395.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
will likely impact the Monday morning commute.
