.A thermal trough along the coast is bringing offshore northeast
winds and low relative humidity to the coast ranges. The strong,
gusty winds, combined with poor relative humidity recovery
tonight into Thursday morning will result in a higher risk of fire
spread should any ignitions occur. Strong, gusty west southwest
winds combined with low humidity are also likely on Friday east
of the Cascades as a dry front moves through.
The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 10 AM PDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Oregon...the coast ranges of Fire Weather
Zones 618 and 619.
* WIND...Northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
