* WHAT...A moderate risk of sneaker waves. * WHERE...All beaches of Douglas, Coos and Curry Counties. * WHEN...From late tonight through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Sneaker waves can run up significantly farther on beaches than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and quickly pull them into the cold ocean waters, resulting in serious injury or death. Waves may also lift driftwood logs, trapping anyone caught underneath. * View the hazard area in detail at https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/map/?wfo=mfr Beach Hazards Statement 2025-04-06T02:09:00-07:00 2025-04-06T02:09:00-07:00 2025-04-06T05:00:00-07:00 2025-04-06T17:00:00-07:00 Actual Update Met Expected Moderate Likely South Central Oregon Coast; Curry County Coast SAME 041011 SAME 041015 SAME 041019 UGC ORZ021 UGC ORZ022 AWIPSidentifier CFWMFR WMOidentifier WHUS46 KMFR 060909 NWSheadline BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON BLOCKCHANNEL EAS BLOCKCHANNEL NWEM BLOCKCHANNEL CMAS VTEC /O.CON.KMFR.BH.S.0007.250406T1200Z-250407T0000Z/ eventEndingTime 2025-04-07T00:00:00+00:00 expiredReferences w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov,urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.0ec3cc9534c8a9efef1260a418af5666f8ae33a3.001.1,2025-04-05T02:05:00-07:00 w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov,urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.2150ebfb6fec2f36cfb105fc1b6dddc713ad2ff8.002.1,2025-04-04T13:42:00-07:00 w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov,urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.2150ebfb6fec2f36cfb105fc1b6dddc713ad2ff8.001.1,2025-04-04T13:42:00-07:00 w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov,urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.d1636448cc37b60609ff41bddb53bdf78b224f7e.001.1,2025-04-04T02:57:00-07:00 w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov,urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.c0440da8aeae26a0efb36bccddc43de90c803700.001.1,2025-04-03T20:40:00-07:00
