* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
8 inches, with up to 12 inches near Crater Lake. Winds gusting as
high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Highway 140 near Lake of the Woods, highway 62 towards
Crater Lake, Highways 138 and 232 near Diamond Lake.
* WHEN...From 7 AM Wednesday to 4 PM PST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty
winds could bring down tree branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow is expected to be heaviest between 10 am
and 4 pm pst, with snowfall rates likely to be an inch or more per
hour. This is the driving force for issuing a Winter Storm
Warning. Visibility could be limited to a quarter mile during
times of heavy snow.
