ORDER Emergency Road Closure FREMONT-WINEMA NATIONAL FOREST Order Number 06-02-01-17-10-0l Pursuant to Title 36, Code of Federal Regulations §26 l .50(b), the following act is prohibited on the following described National Forest System Roads located on the Bly and Paisley Ranger Districts of the Fremont-Winema National Forest, as described in attached Exhibit A. Level 1 (Be Ready) Evacuation Notice for Hwy 126 from MP 45 East to MP 16 near Frissel Boat Launch DETAILS: Residents, campers, and others along the Oregon Route 126 corridor from Milepost 45 on the McKenzie Highway (the intersection with Forest Road 19, also known as Aufderheide Drive) east to Milepost 16 on the Clear Lake Cutoff (near Frissel Boat Launch) are being asked to BE READY (Level 1) to evacuate. The includes the communities of Rainbow, McKenzie Bridge, and Belknap Springs, as well as residents along East King Drive and North Bank Road, and all surrounding areas. Level 3 (Go) Evacuation Order for Kinnney Creek Road and Palmer Creek Road (Miller Complex Wildfire)
A Level 3 (Go) Evacuation Order has been issued for Kinney Creek Road (1090 Road) and Palmer Creek Road as a precaution. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is going door-to-door in this area to alert residents. The Burnt Peak Fire has been backing down Billy Mountain and continues to move slowly east towards Applegate River as expected.The public will see an increase in firefighting traffic in the Upper Applegate Road area as additional resources engage to protect homes and property. Flames will be visible and smoke will increase. Firefighters expect thefire will continue to move slowly through the area and remain a ground fire. No other evacuation levels are changing on the Burnt Peak Fire.

September 2, 2017 – Jade Creek Fire Update BLY, Ore. – Approximately 200 firefighters are assigned to the wind-driven Jade Creek fire that started on August 29, 2017 by lightning. The fire is currently reported at approximately 1,600 acres and is located 15 miles east of Bly, Ore. South Central Oregon Fire Management Partnership (SCOFMP) has deployed multiple fire resources to the incident, and made continued progress yesterday suppressing the fire with scoopers, helicopters, engines, dozers and hand crews. Additional fire resources are being mobilized today to strengthen the suppression efforts and enhance control lines. The Nash fire has increased in size over the last few days, with smoke impacting Redmond, Bend, and Cascade Lakes. In addition, fires in the Willamette National Forest will continue to impact communities east of the Cascade Crest. Other fires in Oregon and Northern California will also continue to greatly impact these areas as well. A fire weather watch is in effect due to hot and dry conditions, with unstable air through Sunday. A red flag warning remains in effect for Saturday from 1:00pm until 8:00pm. Gusty winds, poor humidity, and Haines of 6 will increase fire activity in the area. Forecasters are calling for peak temperature of 95 degrees on Saturday. Sunday will show an increase in humidity with a slight decrease in temperatures. Crews on the western perimeter are working on containment lines near the fire’s edge. Crews working in the north continue to strengthen lines, working in toward the west. While crews in the south are utilizing Lake Francis to assist with mop up efforts. Progress was made in extending containment lines on the fire’s perimeter. Updated mapping shows the current fire size as 1,900 acres and containment holding at 18%.
