All trails and camps entering the park complex at Hannegan Pass Trailhead including; entire Little Beaver Trail, Big Beaver Trail beyond Pumpkin Mountain and Big Beaver camps, Brush Creek, Chilliwack, and Copper Loop trails. Camp closures include all camps between Little Beaver and Boundary camps and all camps between 39 Mile and Beaver Pass camps. Rum Creek Fire morning update for Wednesday, Sept. 7 (Rum Creek Fire Wildfire)
Containment increases to 42% on Rum Creek Fire MERLIN, Ore. – Despite the heat and rugged terrain, firefighters on the Rum Creek Fire continue to make progress. Containment has increased to 42%, with most edges of the fire mopped up at least 75 feet inside fire lines. The tactical firing operation on the ridge between Rum Creek and Montgomery Creek went well, with fire backing down both sides of the ridge. Fire personnel continue to monitor this and other areas, watching for flare-ups and spot fires. Overnight, the fire stayed within the containment lines despite high temperatures, low relative humidity and gusty winds. Today, temperatures will continue to be high, triggering a Heat Advisory from the National Weather Service (NWS). The heat can expose hidden hot spots and can take a toll on fire personnel. News Release September 7, 2022 Davenport, WA - The Seven Bays Fire is located approximately 15 miles northwest of Davenport, WA. This fire started on Sunday, September 4th and has burned approximately 1,000 acres of rangeland, stubble and scattered forest lands. The fire is 15% contained. Evacuations: No Evacuation levels.
