For the Owyhee River...including Owyhee Dam...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Owyhee River below Owyhee Dam. * WHEN...Until Wednesday, April 17. * IMPACTS...At 6,000 cfs, Significant field flooding will occur near the river from the mouth of the canyon to the confluence with the Snake River. Water will begin to flow across Overstreet Road near the bridge crossing. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:30 PM MDT Wednesday /4:30 PM PDT Wednesday/ the flow was 8,066 cfs. - Bankfull is 1,000 cfs. - Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours ending at 5:30 PM MDT Wednesday /4:30 PM PDT Wednesday/ was 8,478 cfs. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8,360 cfs Saturday morning.
