At 313 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
High Peak, or 12 miles north of McDermitt, moving north at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust reducing
visibilities. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern
Malheur County, including along US Highway 95.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 819 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen with
additional rainfall expected. Heaviest rainfall is occuring
in the Klamath Falls area south of highway 140 and east of
highway 97.

...Burn scar debris flows due to rainfall around the 2024 Battle
Mountain Complex are possible....
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Oregon, including the following
counties, Grant, Morrow and Umatilla.
* WHEN...Until 645 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rain falling on the burn scar from the from the 2024 Battle
Mountain Complex burn scar could cause minor debris flows.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 239 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Between 0.3 and 0.7 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
mainly rural areas of Northwestern Grant, Southeastern Morrow
and Southwestern Umatilla Counties
