Special Weather Statement issued October 27 at 2:01PM PDT by NWS Portland OR
At 200 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong shower over
Gresham, or 7 miles southwest of Washougal, moving northeast at 25
mph. This shower has the potential to strengthen into a thunderstorm.
A funnel cloud is also possible as weak rotation is evident on radar.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Washougal, Portland, Gresham, Troutdale, Corbett,
Powellhurst-Centennial, Fairview, and Wood Village.
In Washington this includes State Route 14 between mile markers 16
and 20.
This includes the following highways in Oregon...
Interstate 84 between mile markers 16 and 24.
U.S. Highway 26 east of Portland between mile markers 9 and 15.
