NOAA Current Watches-WA
Hydrologic Outlook issued May 30 at 1:45PM PDT by NWS Seattle WA
ESFSEW
A late season atmospheric river will bring moderate to heavy
precipitation from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday across all of
western Washington. Heavy rainfall rates are possible over the
southwest Olympics, and the Cascades. Total rainfall amounts will
range from 1 to 2 inches in the lowlands, and 2 to 4 inches in the
mountains. Snow levels above 5000 feet will result in most
precipitation falling as rain. This will result in rivers running
unusually high, with the Skagit, Snohomish, Skykomish, White, and
Skokomish Rivers potentially over action stage. The Snoqualmie River
potentially will reach minor flood stage. This may impact any use of
the river flood planes that are normally dry this time of year.
Rivers will crest sometime between Sunday and Tuesday.
The next update will be provided Friday afternoon.
Please monitor the latest river forecasts from the National Weather
Service for additional information.

Special Weather Statement issued May 20 at 5:05AM PDT by NWS Spokane WA
Shallow morning fog has developed in the valleys of northeast
Washington and the northern Idaho Panhandle. This will reduce
driving visibility on major commuting routes until about 9 am.
In Idaho: From Worley to Coeur d'Alene, Sandpoint and Bonner's
Ferry expect variable visibility sometimes less than a mile on
Highway 95 and Interstate 90 in the region.
In Eastern Washington: From Interstate 90 in Spokane, to north
Spokane toward Deer Park and Chewelah along Highway 395
visibility may become suddenly restricted. Highway 2 from north
Spokane to Newport will also be impacted. Tempratures will be
near freezing from Deer Park to Chelah so slippery roadway can be
expected.
Take extra caution during the morning commute for variable fog
conditions.
