* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 14
inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Elevations above 5000 feet in the southern Oregon Cascades
and Siskiyou Mountains. This includes Crater and Diamond Lake,
Lake of the Woods, Mt Ashland Ski Area as well as Highways 140,
62, 138 and 230.
* WHEN...Until 5 PM PDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and
Thursday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree
branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This is the first of two systems. The second
system on Friday will also produce impactful weather for the
higher terrain.

* WHERE...Curry County Coast and South Central Oregon Coast. This
includes portions of highway 101, especially exposed areas and
also Cape Blanco and Cape Arago. Cities include Reedsport, North
Bend, Coos Bay, Bandon, Port Orford, Nesika Beach, Gold Beach,
Pistol River and Brookings.

A series of winter systems move in through the end of the week
bringing heavy snow to the Cascades. There are three different
disturbances, but will blend into one overall impactful scenario.
Snow levels will begin to rise on Friday.
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 15
inches. Accumulations up to 20 inches above 5000 feet. Winds
gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...South Washington Cascades and the Northern and Central
Cascades of Oregon.
* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 11 PM PDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The bulk of the heaviest snow will fall
between 1 AM through 11 AM Thursday.
