A passing shortwave and flow becoming more southerly will bring
increased instability to the region on Saturday. This instability
in combination with hot and dry conditions will result in the
potential for extreme fire behavior, particularly for any
currently ongoing fires in the region.
The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for dry and unstable conditions, which is in effect
from Saturday morning through Saturday evening.

Strawberry Mountains.
