* WHEN...From 5 AM PST Saturday through late Sunday night.
* IMPACTS...Waves can run up significantly farther on a beach than
normal, including over rocks and jetties. Sneaker waves can
suddenly knock people off of their feet and quickly pull them
into the frigid ocean which may lead to serious injury or
drowning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Keep children and pets away from the surf
zone. Keep off of jetties, rocks and logs near the surf zone. If
you see someone swept into the sea do not swim in after them.
Call 911 and keep an eye on them until help arrives.

Malheur River Near Vale affecting Malheur County.
.Snow melt and increased reservoir releases will cause the river
flows to remain high. Expect minor flooding.
For the Malheur River...including Vale...minor flooding is forecast
to continue.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Malheur River near Vale.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 19.5 feet, The river will begin spilling over its
bank flooding farmland between Vale and Ontario. Water will begin
approaching low spots on Butte Drive. Water will approach the 36th
Street Bridge upstream from Ontario.
At 20.5 feet, Flooding of some county roads near the river will
occur, including Westfall Road near Harper.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:30 AM MST Friday /1:30 AM PST Friday/ the stage was 19.9
feet.
- Bankfull stage is 19.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 2:30 AM MST Friday /1:30 AM PST Friday/ was 20.1
feet.
- Forecast...The river will remain at or above minor flood
stage through early next week.
- Flood stage is 19.5 feet.

reservoirs.
For the Malheur River...including Vale...minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Malheur River near Vale.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Flood waters will rise above low spots on
Copeland Road near Harper. Butte Drive will be flooded with water
greater than 1 foot deep between the bridge and Foothill Drive.
The area near the 36th Street Bridge upstream from Ontario will
flood with water flowing over low spots on Malheur Drive. Debris
damming on the 36th Street Bridge may be a problem.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:30 AM MST Thursday /11:30 PM PST Wednesday/ the stage
was 20.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 19.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 12:30 AM MST Thursday /11:30 PM PST Wednesday/ was

Harper and Ontario will occur. Numerous roads near the river will
be flooded including Harper Bridge Road near Harper, Butte Drive
between Vale and Ontario, and the 36th Street Bridge area just
upstream from Ontario including Malheur Drive. Some houses may be
surrounded by water. The river crest will take about 12 hours to
move downstream from Harper to Vale, and another 8 hours to move
from Vale to Ontario.

- At 1:30 PM MST Wednesday /12:30 PM PST Wednesday/ the stage
was 20.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 19.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

* WHAT...Sneaker waves possible.
* WHERE...North and Central Coast of Oregon, and South
Washington Coast.
* WHEN...Through late tonight.
* IMPACTS...Waves can run up significantly farther on a beach than
normal, including over rocks and jetties. Sneaker waves can
suddenly knock people off of their feet and quickly pull them
into the frigid ocean which may lead to serious injury or
drowning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Keep children and pets away from the surf
zone. Keep off of jetties, rocks and logs near the surf zone. If
you see someone swept into the sea do not swim in after them.
Call 911 and keep an eye on them until help arrives.

Beach Hazards Statement issued March 2 at 12:34PM PST until March 3 at 1:00AM PST by NWS Portland OR
* WHAT...Sneaker waves possible.
* WHERE...North and Central Coast of Oregon, and South
Washington Coast.
* WHEN...Through late tonight.
* IMPACTS...Waves can run up significantly farther on a beach than
normal, including over rocks and jetties. Sneaker waves can
suddenly knock people off of their feet and quickly pull them
into the frigid ocean which may lead to serious injury or
drowning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Keep children and pets away from the surf
zone. Keep off of jetties, rocks and logs near the surf zone. If
you see someone swept into the sea do not swim in after them.
Call 911 and keep an eye on them until help arrives.

Flood Warning issued March 2 at 10:52AM MST until March 7 at 11:15PM MST by NWS Boise ID
...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Oregon...
Malheur River Near Vale affecting Malheur County.
.Snow melt and increased reservoir releases will cause the river
flows to become high. Expect minor flooding downstream from the
reservoirs.
For the Malheur River...including Vale...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Bully Creek, Agency Valley and Warm Springs Reservoirs need
to release water to account for anticipated snowmelt and runoff
for the spring. This will cause the Malheur River to exceed flood
stage for minor flooding through much of next week. As of now, the
anticipated releases are not expected to make the river exceed
moderate flood stage. This will be monitored closely over the
coming days.
* WHERE...Malheur River near Vale.
* WHEN...Until late Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Flood waters will rise above low spots on
Copeland Road near Harper. Butte Drive will be flooded with water
greater than 1 foot deep between the bridge and Foothill Drive.
The area near the 36th Street Bridge upstream from Ontario will
flood with water flowing over low spots on Malheur Drive. Debris
damming on the 36th Street Bridge may be a problem.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:30 AM MST Sunday /9:30 AM PST Sunday/ the stage was
20.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 19.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:30 AM MST Sunday /9:30 AM PST Sunday/ was 20.1
feet.
- Forecast...The river will oscillate around flood stage with a
maximum value of 20.9 feet late tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 19.5 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
21.1 feet on 03/05/1983.
