Fog to heavy fog has begun to form along the I-84 corridor between
Arlington through Stanfield becoming progressively thicker as you
move east. Fog is slowly progressing eastward and is expected to
reach Pendleton. Fog has also been observed just north of the
Tri-Cities along the 395 as well as along the I-82 through Coffin
RD and steadily moving towards the city area. Visibilities range
from 1 mile to less than 1/4 of a mile. Please drive with caution.

* WHAT...A moderate risk of sneaker waves is expected.
* WHERE...The beaches and shorelines of Curry, Coos, and Douglas
counties.
* WHEN...From Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Sneaker waves can run up significantly farther on
beaches than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These
waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and quickly
pull them into the cold ocean waters, resulting in serious
injury or death. Waves may also lift driftwood logs, trapping
anyone caught underneath.

Special Weather Statement issued December 9 at 9:53AM PST by NWS Spokane WA
Patchy dense freezing fog with near zero visibility has been
reported in the Columbia Basin this morning. Fog is particularly
dense along Interstate 90 around Ritzville, US-2 between Wilbur
and Coulee City, and WA-243 from Vantage to Desert Aire. Expect
rapid changes in visibility in this area. Use extra caution,
reduce speeds, and allow extra travel time. Fog is expected to
lift this afternoon.
